Graphite Paintings

Graphite is a pure form of carbon, an element essential to all organic life. In my paintings over the years, I have used graphite in many forms, as a solid (pencils) as a dry powder (graphite powder) and as a wet pigment (graphite paint). Charcoal, which is made from burnt wood is also a form of carbon.
